School Supplies Donation Uganda

Providing backpacks filled with essential stationery so more Ugandan pupils can participate fully in school.

01

School costs should not stand between a child and learning.

According to UNICEF, 60% of Ugandan households that reported a child dropping out of school identified the cost of schooling as the main reason. Many families in rural Uganda cannot bear expenses such as uniforms, stationery or textbooks. In fact, Uganda’s Ministry of Education estimated that refugee-settlement schools required more than 1.05 million additional textbooks just to reach its target of one textbook for every three pupils.

To help address this challenge, the Nile Humanitarian Agency donated more than 300 backpacks packed with stationery across six schools in the Jinja, Mukono and Kampala districts. However, this support is a recurring need, as students require new supplies throughout the school year.
